Dave Pflieger - Managing Director & CEO
Dave joined Air Pacific in May 2010 and in addition to running Air Pacific’s fleet of B747, B767, and B737 aircraft and its team of over 800 employees, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Pacific Sun, Fiji’s domestic airline and the Chairman of the Board of Tourism Fiji.  Dave has over 25 years of experience in the airline and aviation industry and has held various officer and director positions in operations, safety, and legal at Delta Air Lines and Virgin America in the United States.  Dave is also an attorney and former commercial and military pilot who has flown B767, B757, B737, A320, B-52, and C-130 aircraft.  Dave has a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and a JD and MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Shaenaz Voss – General Manager Pacific Sun
Shaenaz became Fiji’s first woman general manager of an airline when she became General Manager of Pacific Sun in May 2011. Before this, she was General Manager Guest Services, Airports & Inflight for Air Pacific. Shaenaz holds more than 20 years of commercial and operational management experience in the aviation, tourism and service industries. A highlight of her career was her winning the Royal Aeronautical Society of New Zealand’s Douglas Patterson Award for Achievement in Aviation Management for the South Pacific in 1995.

Nick Caine - Chief Financial Officer, Executive GM Finance
With some 20 years of airline finance management experience under his belt, Nick joined Air Pacific in July 2010. He has worked around the globe in large and highly successful airlines both fully serviced operations like British Airways, South African Airways and Swissair and low cost carriers like easyJet and Jetstar. He also spent time as an independent advisor to turnaround, start-up and low cost airlines, in chief financial officer & acting chief operating officer roles. Nick is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and earned his Honours Degree in accountancy from the University of Stirling, Scotland.

Aubrey Swift as Chief Commercial Officer
Aubrey Swift is an experienced airline executive with over 20 years in the industry in commercial roles at British Airways, Virgin Blue and V Australia - where he helped design, launch and grow the carrier. He has worked across low cost and full service airline business models, selling direct and through all segments of the travel trade. Recently he has been consulting for airlines and airports, working on a variety of network planning strategy projects.

Jay Shree Raniga – Airline Counsel
Jay Shree created history when she became the first airline in-house counsel in its 60-years history. Before joining Air Pacific in 2010, she was a associate at Howards law firm in Suva. Jay Shree is a law graduate of the University of the South Pacific. As airline counsel, she offers legal advice on all operations of Air Pacific and its domestic/regional subsidiary Pacific Sun. She is also secretary of the boards of the two airlines.

Thomas H Robinson – General Manager - Engineering
Thomas is one of Fiji’s own upcoming airline professionals, having joined the airline in June 1989. He got his aircraft maintenance engineer’s licence in July 1995, became an aircraft maintenance supervisor in November 2001 and was promoted to Manager-Aircraft Maintenance in October 2006. He became General Manager Engineering in March 2008 and he holds a diploma in business (aviation) and a certificate in airline management.

Captain Josua Cavalevu – Chief Pilot, General Manager - Flight Operations
Another of Fiji’s young airline management professionals, Captain Cavalevu has been with Air Pacific for 18 years and he was promoted to his current role in November 2010. He was Deputy Chief Pilot before that time and he is a captain on B767-300ER. He has also served as Captain for the B737-700/800 and first officer (F/O) in the B747-200. Captain Cavalevu has also served as Check & Training Captain for B737-700/800, Flight Safety Officer and Deputy Chief Pilot & Manager Flight Safety. Captain Cavalevu is a graduate of the University of Southern California Aviation Safety Programme.

Shalend Nair – General Manager Revenue Management
Another of our home-grown young professional, Shalend has been with Air Pacific for 15 years after joining the airline as a clerk in the finance division. He has served as passenger sales accounting supervisor, pricing controller, pricing sales support manager and manager commercial in the finance and commercial departments. He was promoted into the new position of GMRM in September 2010.

Vikashni Sheila - General Manager People
Vikashni is one of Fiji’s young upcoming professionals to join the national airline. She became Air Pacific’s head of human resources in March 2011 after heading the HR division of mobile company giant Digicel for three years. She is a graduate of the University of the South Pacific and before Digicel, she was HR Manager of local tourist souvenir and gift chain store Jacks.
