Air Pacific ranked top 5 in the World in annual Conde Nast Traveler’s 2012 Global Survey
Air Pacific is privileged to again have been ranked among the Top 10 “Small Airlines” of the world in the prestigious annual Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers Choice Awards. This year the national carrier ranked 5th, moving two spaces up from last year’s awards where it was placed 7th in the same category.
This year’s Readers Choice Awards had a record participation of 46,476 readers who cast their votes in the “Best in the World” Survey.
“We are honoured and delighted by this terrific recognition for the second year running. This award is, yet again, testament to the professionalism of our people and their commitment to providing our passengers with a superior travel experience centred around Fiji’s legendary hospitality and authenticity,” said Air Pacific Managing Director and CEO, Dave Pflieger.
He added, “It is fantastic that travelers all over the world registered their appreciation for our service and reliability as well as our complimentary in-flight meals, drinks, entertainment, Nadi airport lounge, and our special treatment of Business (Tabua) Class passengers.”
“Condé Nast Traveler readers are seasoned and sophisticated travelers with high expectations, so it means a great deal to all of us that our efforts to transform Air Pacific are being recognised. With improvements to our schedule, new business partners, and plans underway to modernise our fleet, we have a lot more in store for our customers, and we look forward to delighting them further as we complete our transformation to Fiji Airways and move forward to become the preferred airline in the South Pacific,” the airline’s CEO said.
Air Pacific is in the final stages of its transformation, which includes rebranding and a return to its 1951 name of Fiji Airways. This year, it revealed its new brandmark in May, followed by the unveiling of the interior designs and external livery of the incoming Airbus A330’s on October 10.
