Baggage Allowance for International Flights

A great journey starts with packing your bags so to ensure you know what you can and cannot take and what your free baggage allowance is. We have put together the following baggage essentials information for you:

Important notice for passengers travelling to Honolulu via Apia

Passengers transiting via Apia on flights between Nadi and Honolulu will have all carry-on liquid products confiscated at Apia. This includes, but is not limited to, duty free alcohol and perfume purchased from Nadi International Airport or any other international airport.

1. Be sure to label baggage inside and out, and with your name, address and contact number for your destination. Labels can be obtained from Air Pacific, your local travel agent or at check-in.
2. If part of journey includes code share flights or flights on other airlines, operating carriers' baggage allowance applies.
3. Mattresses will not be accepted for carriage as checked baggage. (Accepted as Freight only).
4. All Pacific Sun flights are weight restricted for safety reasons and depending on load; bags/surboards may not be carried on same flights.

Excess baggage

Excess baggage charges apply when a traveller's checked-in baggage exceeds the free allowance either by weight or by the number of pieces permitted. The prices quoted below are subject to change without notice.

Oversized Baggage/Bulky Items Charge


1. Bulky items such as surfboards and golf bags will be weighed along with passenger's check-in luggage.
2. If the check-in luggage and bulky item weigh more than the 23 kg (50 lbs), the overweight bags will be charged excess baggage charges and applicable bulky items fee below.
3. If the combined weight is 23 kg (50 lbs), the bulky item will only be charged the bulky item fees below.
4. Any piece (Oversize Baggage/Bulky item) exceeding 292cm (115in) in dimensions will not be accepted as checked baggage.
