Our freight handlers provide freezer and cool-room facilities to ensure perishable consignments are maintained in optimum conditions. | | Live Animals | We assist with the carriage of live animals, including commercial livestock, prime breeding stock, valuable zoological species and domestic pets. Our trained staff will provide you with information on regulations to assist with the carriage of live animals. | | Dangerous Goods | Dangerous goods including chemicals, compressed gases, flammable liquids and poisons can be carried under special conditions of acceptance, packaging and labeling to comply with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations. Our staff undergo extensive dangerous goods training using approved Civil Aviation Authority approved courses. | | Valuable and Vulnerable | Cargo Delicate goods such as antiques, glassware and optical and medical instruments are treated with the greatest of care. High value cargo such as gold bullion, precious metals and works of art are held in special vaults to ensure maximum security. | | Unaccompanied Baggage | As a service to passengers, Air Pacific Freight offers an unaccompanied baggage service on most routes. Freight Rates To obtain rates for the freight services with Air Pacific, you can contact your nearest Air Pacific office or an appointed handling agent. Fiji Customs Clearance Fiji Customs are located at Nadi and Suva airports and their hours of operation are: | Mon – Thu: | 8.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.30pm | | Fri: | 8.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm. |
Nadi Goods are held at Air Terminal Services at the airport under customs control. Uncleared goods are removed to the customs bond after one month and subsequently auctioned. Suva Goods are stored under customs control for one month at the Air Pacific or IATA forwarders' warehouse. Uncleared goods are removed to the customs warehouse and subsequently auctioned after one month. Clearance of goods can be done by the consignee or customs agent at the locations above. |
