Managing Director and CEO, John Campbell, announced that Air Pacific will introduce a new flight service  between Apia and Honolulu beginning Friday, 11 September 2009. The flight will operate with Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 8 seats in Tabua Business Class and 152 in Pacific Voyager Class. The new flights will add a third weekly Apia-Nadi service and will make travel throughout the South Pacific even easier.  For Samoans, access to Honolulu and the mainland U.S. will now be more affordable and convenient.

Mr. Campbell said, "Air Pacific's flights to Apia have been successful and the extension to Honolulu is important for both business and leisure travelers.  We have a substantial presence in the region and are happy to be able to increase our services to Samoa. The new flights will provide even more choices for customers flying throughout the South Pacific.

The new flight route between Fiji and Samoa serves as an important link for government, business and student's, as well as serving the tourism industry in the Pacific islands.The northbound schedule for the new flights provides excellent connections from Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, Tonga and Suva.  The southbound flights will provide easy connections back to Suva.

The new flight schedule will be:

Nadi – Apia    FJ853    Departs 8:50pm Friday    Arrives 11:40pm Thursday
Apia – Honolulu     FJ853    Departs 12:40am Friday    Arrives 7:00am Friday
Honolulu – Apia    FJ852    Departs 8:10am Friday    Arrives 12:35pm Friday
Apia – Nadi    FJ852    Departs 1:35pm Friday    Arrives 2:35pm Saturday

Air Pacific also operates non-stop flights from Nadi to Apia on Sundays and Tuesdays, and from Nadi to Honolulu on Sundays.  These flights remain unchanged with the introduction of the new service.
